Bettws Newydd Picture Gallery
This gallery shows pictures from a number of local residents and other sources showing the development of Bettws Newydd. Let the cursor hover over a thumbnail to see the caption and click a thumbnail to view a large image. Click the run button to see a slideshow.

Viewing the photos
- Click a thumbnail to see a large version of the picture
- Let your mouse hover over a thumbnail to see the title
- Once viewing a large picture, click
or
(at top left) to view the next or previous picture.
- To start the show click run
(above or when viewing picture). Alter the delay first on this form if required.
- To view pictures in fullscreen, press F11 (F11 closes fullscreen mode again). You can also maximise the window.
- To stop the slideshow click stop
You can later resume again by clicking
.
- Close the picture viewing window to return to the Thumbnail page
- If you want to save a copy, then when viewing one of the large pictures right click and select "save picture as..." (or save image as.. in Firefox). Save the pictures you want into a folder on your harddrive and you can then view this folder with your own slide show viewer (eg try the Windows XP Slide show viewer if you have this.) You will get a faster show.
- All pictures are heavily compressed to reduce download times; the show should run with little delay on broadband connections.
- Don't close the Thumbnail window, or the slide show will grind to a halt.
- Firefox users may want to set Javascript options to allow scripts to change statusbar text. You will then see the title for the photo in the status bar. Do this from Tools / Options / Content tab. Click advanced opposite enable Javascript. The title also shows as part of the caption.
